This is the first Polish nomination to the ICC Commission on Competition. ICC comprises more than 300 competition law experts, including legal counsels from industrial and commercial companies and lawyers running private practices from 40 countries. The Commission identifies main problems encountered by businesses’ international competition policy and contributes the voice of business in a discussion on solving these problems. The ICC Commission on Competition currently includes several working groups dealing with specific issues such as i.a. Compliance and Advocacy, Merger Controls, Fair Trial, Private Enforcement in the EU, Technology Transfer and Cartels and Leniency.
“One of the priorities of the strategic group for cartels and leniency is to improve and converge leniency programs so that leniency procedure would be more transparent and predictable for entrepreneurs”, said Marcin Trepka.
Marcin Trepka specializes in Polish and European antitrust law including agreements limiting competition, abuse of dominant position by large network companies, merger control and state aid. He has gain vast experience in many famous antitrust cases, including the largest cartel investigations carried out to date on cement market in Poland. Marcin Trepka has been Vice President of ICC Poland Commission on Competition since 2013.
